Some of Courtney’s favorite flowers

My title is Courtney Gorman and I dwell in Buffalo, New York. I’ve been a gardener for nearly 20 years. My love for gardening comes from my mom. She was an incredible gardener. We took a number of backyard walks throughout the summer time months nearly each weekend. It amazes me what individuals can do with their backyards (huge or small). Particularly with the smaller gardens, the creativeness of what individuals can do with their backyards is unbelievable. I really like seeing all of the totally different flower and coloration variations accessible. I really like taking a look at uncommon and totally different crops.

That is my 10 12 months outdated Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus, Zones 5–8). It was a really slender tree when planted and now it is a present.

close-up of many white daisiesThese are my loopy daisies (Leucanthemum × superbum ‘Loopy Daisy’, Zones 4-9). They’re one in all my perennial favorites.

plant with bright pink flowers growing in a pot on a tree stumpit is a fuchsia (Fuchsia hybrid, Zones 10–11 or annual) that I bought for the primary time. It seems to be extraordinarily good on this planter that sits on an outdated tree stump. You’ll be able to see some mushrooms rising on the tree trunk.

pink petunias growing in a pot with wooden framea petunia (Petunia hybrid, annual) is in a wood body that was made for me by a pricey buddy of mine. This can be a huge hit when individuals come to go to my backyard.

white, pink and red begonias growing on either side of the path leading to the front doorOne other spotlight is the road of begonias (Begonia hybrid, Semperflorens Cultorum group, Zones 10–11 or as annuals) I plant it yearly alongside the walkway to my entrance door. They final till mid-October or till the primary frost. They develop big and are simply stunning in coloration.
