GPOD on the road: Sydney, Australia

Hello, that is Cindy Strickland. I wished to share some footage from a visit I took in October 2017 to the Sydney area of Australia.

I loved strolling in and across the historic Vaucluse House and your backyard.

That is the fountain backyard of Vaucluse Home.

And right here is the enclosed space, cool and shady, adjoining to the home, dominated by the fern and the tower.

The feel and patterns of the Australian fern (Cyathea cooperi) are exceptional.

O Alloxylon flammeum (its widespread names are purple silky oak or waratah tree) has magnificent purple flowers and is commonly grown as a small tree.
